YouTube can repeat a whole video. It cannot repeat the eleven seconds you actually need. TubeRepeat adds the two controls that are missing: an A point where the loop starts and a B point where it jumps back. Everything between them plays on repeat until you stop it.
The video is still played by YouTube, in YouTube’s own player, with the creator’s ads and view count intact. TubeRepeat only decides where the playhead goes.
Nothing is uploaded and nothing is downloaded. Your saved sections live in your browser, so the tool is as private as a bookmark. There is no account to make.
- Step 01
Paste the link
Drop any YouTube URL into the box at the top — a watch link, a share link, a Shorts link, or just the eleven-character video ID. If the link carries a timestamp, the video opens there.
- Step 02
Mark A where the section starts
Play until you reach the moment you want, then press the A button or the [ key. A green marker drops onto the timeline at that exact point.
- Step 03
Mark B where it ends
Keep playing to the end of the phrase and press B, or the ] key. The stretch between the two markers fills in, and playback jumps back to A as soon as it reaches B.

Trim, slow down, repeat
Drag either marker to adjust it, or hold Shift with the arrow keys for hundredth-of-a-second steps. Drop the speed to 0.5× while the phrase is new and raise it as it settles.

What it adds
- Trim to the hundredth
- Drag the A and B flags, type an exact timecode, or hold Shift on a marker and step by 0.05 seconds until the loop lands cleanly on the beat.
- Slow it down without losing your place
- Anything from 0.25× to 2×, in steps of 0.05×. The loop points stay where they are when the speed changes.
- A rest after every pass
- Insert a gap at the end of each repeat so you can answer the phrase yourself before it comes round again.
- A speed that climbs on its own
- Start at half speed and add a little to every pass, up to a ceiling you set. Put the instrument down and let the drill run.
- Sections that stay put
- Name a range and it is waiting the next time you open that video. Number keys jump between the first nine.
- Links that arrive already looping
- Every loop has its own URL. Send it to a bandmate or a student and it opens on the same eleven seconds.

Before you ask
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email box and no paywall. Open the page, paste a link and start looping.
Does this download videos?
No. The video is streamed and played by YouTube in YouTube’s own embedded player. TubeRepeat only tells that player where to jump. Nothing is saved to your device and nothing is copied off YouTube.
Where do my saved sections go?
Into your own browser storage, on the device you are using. They are never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes them, so export a copy from the settings panel if you want to keep them.
Why will one particular video not play?
Some uploaders turn off embedding, which means their video can only be watched on youtube.com. Private, age-restricted and region-blocked videos behave the same way. There is no way around it — the restriction is set by the video owner.
How precise can the loop points be?
To a hundredth of a second. Drag the markers for a rough range, then hold Shift with the arrow keys, or type an exact timecode such as 1:04.25 into the A or B box.
Can I send a loop to someone else?
Yes. The address bar always holds the current loop, so copying the URL is enough. The Share button also gives you an embed snippet for putting the looped section on your own page.
